Published Apr 06, 2023

Would you like to be part of making future smart and sustainable buildings possible? Are you interested in experiencing shared living at a smart house? We are looking for four new residents, for the period mid-August 2023 to end of June 2024.

You should be student on master level and interested in research, technology and development. This year the KTH Live-In Lab’s apartment is an ideal co-living space with 4 private bedrooms and attractive common areas such as the kitchen and the living room.

Testbed KTH is in a building permit free residence area in one of Einar Mattsson's three plus-energy buildings at KTH Campus Valhallavägen. During the rent period the ground floor apartment will consist of 4 private sleeping rooms, 2 shared bathrooms and shared kitchen and living room. In total, 4 to 5 new students are sought after. There is also an office and basement with installations that is accessible for tenants.

There are currently around 15 ongoing research projects in KTH Live-In Lab, of which a handful interacts with the tenants. Tenants can sometimes be asked to participate in workshops, share their experiences, give feedback, etc. No tenant must be part of any project, but we hope that participation is of mutual interest. Before any research project starts, tenants will be asked to sign an informed consent. Tenants are always informed of the ongoing research programs, and they can choose to participate or not.

You can read more about different projects that are actual please read.
